NGC7000 North America Nebula
Description
North America Nebula or Caldwell 20 is an emission nebula in the constellation Cygnus, close to the Star Deneb. It was catalogued by William Herschels son John Herschel. In 1890 a pioneering astrophotographer named Max Wolf noticed its shape and dubbed it North America Nebula.
This area covers a region of roughly 10 times the full moons disc.
And just in 2020 the distance was finally defined by 2590 light years. So actually what you see is how this nebula looked when Rome was 200 years old.
