The Pleiades M45

The Pleiades, Seven Sister or also known as M45 are one of the most beautiful star clusters. It is the nearest Messier Object to the Earth with a distance of aproximately 444 lightyears. The Stars age is about 100 million years and they are very hot. Earlier astronomers thought that the blueish reflection nebula arround the stars is a left over from the formation of this cluster but are now considered likely to be an unrelated dust cloud that the formation is currently passing through.
